Is it possible to get more than one stronghold at the same time in BGII? I've tried being a fighter/mage to try and get both the sphere and de'arnise hold, but Lavok doesn't offer the sphere to me after I've acquired the hold.

Not unless you use the Ease of Use mod...others may have the component as well, but I'm not sure about that.

ADD-Actually, for the F/M, it's possible without the EoU, by exploiting a bug.

SPOILER

When Nalia asks you to take the stronghold, tell her that you'll think about it (one of the options...something like that). Then, accept the Planar Sphere, and go back to Nalia and accept the Keep.

It is possible, but not legitimly. There was a bug that allowed a Fighter/Mage that has acquired the Sphere to get the De'Arnisse Hold, but it was fixed.

If you are really up to it, download the Ease of use mod, and install its Multiple Strongholds component.
