For some reason my customized scripts to attack when an enemy is in sight
isn't working anymore....? Is it a BUG? (my Thief Jan Jansen can't hide in shadows and backstab - does he have to b armed with a backstabbable weapon 1st, he is wearing his own armour? But even then he should still be able to Stealth mode active?) My MAGES should just b more selective of spells to use, the Tactic that should be employed becos due to different situations certain spells would not b appropriate... so I did not customize a script. Any other advice or hints & tips to customise certain characters within ur party for the most effective gameplay? Thanks

With it not working, exactly what is happening ? Are they failing to do what they're told to ("Hide in Shadows Failed), or are they just not trying? If the former, it's plain bad luck; if the latter, make sure Party AI is turned ON - the button for it (bottom right, next to select all party members) should have an orange outline around it.
For other scripts, have your Cleric/s heal the party when needed, and write better scripts than the default ones (not hard). |

Probably because that is a very primitive AI Script and even more shabby than the default ones. Ideally, an AI Script should be able to at least handle the following,
1) Potion Drinking 2) Spellcasting( if any) 3) Physical Combat These are the basics. Realistically( or rather, ideally), an AI Script will handle about 40+ types of behaviour. Non-spellcasting AI Scripts are much simpler than Spellcasting ones and generally weigh in at around 400KB in size( depending on game and how efficient you want it to be). Spellcasting AI Scripts run in the... MBs... ... Throw in some primitive learning functions, and you will come to realise that you need a PentiumIV to run the game using such scripts.
