Damn that Edwin

Just what mod is it that ruins Edwins quest?!?!? I know its one of these(or one of their components):

Item Upgrade
Tactics mod
Ease of Use

now even if i uninstall them all, the quest wont start! does anyone know what i have to remove from the override folder? Vedran?

Perhaps it is not (one of these mods). I can not think of any component that would mess with Edwin, but I can't keep in mind all the components of those mods, nor I know which you had installed.
Perhaps it is just a glitch, the game is unpredictable sometimes...

Try emptying Cache folder. Could help.

You do know that Edwin's quest starts when he sees the lower tombs, don't you?

Actually, it starts when he enters the graveyard district. He suggests the lower tombs as a possibility as where it might be.

As for the mods affecting his quest... Ease - Female Edwina would be the only one that logically could. But it doesn't alter the scripts at all, it only inserts two new portraits and two spells... so, yes, clear the cache, and pray. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I installed the mods right after the edwin quest starts(when entering the graveyard), but then after installing the mods, the quest wouldnt go on. thats how im pretty sure its one of these mods, that and that ive had this problem before as well(i was playing a modded game back then too).

I still tend to believe this has nothing to do with mods, but who knows.

Where has the quest stopped?

well, on a previous game, the quests dialogues didnt start at all. the lich was still there, but edwin didnt speak at all, nor did he say anything about the nether scroll. in this game, i had installed the same mods(and more). on the game i was talking about now, i installed the mods right after the edwin quest had triggered by him speaking upon entrance to the graveyard district. he stopped the dialogues right after installing. it doesnt matter any more though, i accidentally destroyed the save file on an attempt to save. its suprisingly easy to press delete instead of save.
