Drow city: Phaere and beholder?

Phaere told me to meet her about meeting her in the SE part of the city to release a beholder. I went there and a beholder didn't appear! Everyone in the party spoke to Phaere, but nothing happened. What do I need to do?

First suggestion is always reload and try again.

Usually I end up talking to Sola ... It’s tough to tell those two apart.

Are you sure you are in the right part of town? Or did Phaere tell youto wait for some time and then come?
Remember the small fight (with Slimes) you were unwillingly recruited to? That's were the Eye Tyrant should appear.

Um...that is a spoiler. That event happens AFTER the event he is talking about.

To answer the main thread: try reloading the game from an earlier point and going there again. If that doesn't work, then rest for 8 hours (I believe her and Sola are still in the tavern; if you rest they leave and go to the area you need them to be at).

[/QUOTE]actually, Phaere and Solaufein leave right after giving the mission. to answer your Q, how long did you wait? it takes 10-20 seconds i believe for the beholder to appear(well, maybe not quite 20. more like 10). you should also check that you are indeed talking to phaere. if all else fails, download the latest patch and the latest Baldurdash(actually, download them anyway).

i don't remember speaking to her. Ifter I was there she said sometnig like "Here it comes I feel it" and voila - another beholder added to "the DeadBook" [img]smile.gif[/img]
Phaerie must not be alone - a strong_drow_warrior must present there also otherwise it is other quest.
So go there wait a few seconds and meet with the "spell engine".

Just remembered that when I first did that quest I went to the wrong part of town (merchants at the exit) and it took me some time to figure out where Phaere was.
