Trouble downloading romance/flirtpack

I tried downloading both the Imoen romance and the flirtpacks. However, neither one is letting me download. I have had no problems downloading before this point (downloaded Ease of Use just fine). The Imoen romance site, when I click on the link for the download, just sits there (doesn't even start to download, go to another page, etc.). The flirtpack site acts like it is going to download, and pulls up my ftp program, but then just cancels (retrying it results in the same thing).

Is anyone else having a problem with this? It's just kind of annoying, as I know I should not be having any download problems (considering got Ease of Use and other mods just fine).

Hmmmm, it doesn't seem to make any sense. There is a possibilty that your internet provider is just being slow right now or maybe you should check and see if the download is compatable with your computer though if it isnt a screen should come up telling you that. There is nothing else i can think of but are you using the same site all the time, because if so maybe you should try a diferent site.

Actually, used one of the mirror sites for the flirtpacks, and after a few tries finally got it. [img]smile.gif[/img]

However, the Imoen one is still giving me troubles. The link wouldn't work, so I just went to properties, copied the name of the link, and pasted it directly into my ftp program. This got the .rar file, but when I try to expand it with Aladdin, it gives an error for not being a valid file.

I know the two are not compatable with each other. I plan to do the Imoen one, then uninstall and do the flirtpacks.

The other was from Forgotten Wars, but like I just stated I got it to work (there might have been some problems with the site or connections for some reason; not unheard of! [img]smile.gif[/img] ).

Actually, now editing this post to say I finally got the *@#$&% Imoen romance extracted. I did have to do the roundabout way to get it (copy and past the name of the site into my ftp program, so link not working right), and there was a setting error in Aladdin that I fixed (don't use .rar too often, so probably never ran into the situation before).

Situation resolved (unless I try installing one of them and it blows up in my face...). Thanks for your responses!

Yeah, I noticed that. That's okay, just did it the #ss backwards method of copying and pasting the site into the ftp program. Was able to get it then. Still a pain to do it that way, though.
