* * * * * * * * * * * In the asylum there are some tokens or coin for some machine or other...Well wheres the machine? I cant find it anywhere...hmmn this is where i can get the botos of speed isnt it?can i get two pairs i cant remember... |

You can only get one pair of the Boots of Speed from that machine, but there are other pairs in BG2.
 Also, it's quite hard to explain where the machine is... Have you been in the room with all the paintings? If you go through the Umberhulk-door, you'll reach the machine eventually.

SPOILER AHEAD:

You have to get the umberhulk painting from the fountain room with the trapped statues to be able to open it.) Once you open that wall, follow the pathway back around to the south, then the west again. You'll come to a strange "contraption" that you can drop the coins in. I think 15 GP will get you the Boots of Speed, with enough left over for a boots of frost (and just drop the remaining Mithril coin). NOTE: If you've already opened up the Minotaur door and exited the level, you can't get back. Sorry! -Saz
