They were hidden behind a painting in the room with the Jailkeep Golem was in Irenicus' Dungeon.

You might have missed them.

HINTS:
The Golden Pantaloons are located... somewhere nearby when you start the imported game.
The Silver Pantaloons are connected to the quest 'Find the kidnappers who buried Tirdir".
The Bronze Pantalettes are connected to Abazigal's Lair in ToB.

The armor you get is no more than a easter egg, there is no real use for it. Or is it?

Of course there is! What would horrify the enemy more than a golem-sized metal-covered butt-kicking juggernaut?

Spoilerish..

IIRC, it was pretty decent armour and you get that cannon-thingie also. (Or am I remembering something else here?) I once cheated (Yeah, I admit! I'm guilty!) the parts for BMU and tried it.. Minsc couldn't use the cannon it 'cause it required some intellegence. No offence for Minsc, though.

*EDIT* BMU's description *WARNING! Heavy spoilers*: http://www.flatface.net/~itemsmart/M...magic_misc.htm

It is hard to navigate narrow corridors and to enter buildings in that armor. And you cannot even equip it only during battle because it is armor.

And the ammo, if I remember correctly, it deals some lousy magic-missile-of-level-one-caster damage.

Why would a sorc need AC??

If its size weren't of an Iron Golem i would surely use it all the way through. But you can easily cheat abuse some game laws and change your avatar. Not the way I would do it, tho.
