What do U like best remove magic or dispell magic? They have their goods and bads.
Remove magic - enemies only does not remove any effects or spell protections on pc or allies and may not be cast on ur party. Dispell-Dispells all magic protections and such as curses on enemies and party. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ What do u guys like best? ( i may have missd stuff or not been 100% on stuff)

I have tried many times to use Remove magic instead of Dispell Magic but to be honest it never seems to work as well. I realize it may be because it is either Keldorn casting the Dispell magic or my own Paladin PCand thus is cast at twice the characters level. Truth be told I tend to only use it in desperation to remove those annoying confusion and domination spells and given that my party slowly becomes immune to these things after awhile I don’t find a need for it at all.

I much prefer Dispel Magic.
Reason: You can pretty much aim it to hit opponents and not yourself when you wish. It's still pretty useful for getting rid of negative things on your party (though more specialized spells like free action and remove fear are just as useful for that) and you can throw it far enough back that it'll only hit the enemies. If you use it enough you get to know the radius of the spell pretty well, then you just throw it such that it'll only hit when you want |

Actually, remove magic doesnt do a damn thing most of the time.
If you read the description you'll notice that in-game .. on a good day you'll have 50% of it succeeding and a normal would have the chances hoovering around 10 - 20 % .. not so great. Dispel magic is handy for party-members .. but again stands very little to no chance against dispelling the protections opponents have.

Dispel Magic was a lot more potent back in BG1; it was the only spell to get rid of those low-level enemy protections. Most monsters in BG2 are so resistant to it that it rarely works.
