My 1/2ling swashbuckler is allowed to dual-wield some fairly large weapons: Long Sword, Katana, etc.. Is there any sort of penalty incurred for him using these weapons other than the normal dual-wield to hit penalty?

There shouldn't be, considering all Swashbucklers (regardless of race) use those same weapons I believe.

There should be (obviously), but this game doesn't count size factors.

What you never seen a midget wield a two-handed sword before, where have you been? But with a bigger sword, they can either chop off your ankles or still bite them off

Yeah, it's kind of comical giving Mazzy a two-handed sword or halberd and having her swing it around just like the bigger people. And people criticize her for her low strength.

It's also interesting how when you find a suit of magical plate armor, your half-orc fighter puts it on, and hands his old suit over to Mazzy, who tries it on and finds that if fits perfectly!

This works with helmets and rings too (wouldn't a ring made for a halfling be pretty much impossible to put on for a burly half-orc?)

The worst one in my opinion is that halflings (and goblins) have no problem handling a long bow! They have a bow that is twice their height, but they have no problems using it.

I don't mind it, because the only other alternative is horrible.
Imagine finding a great suit of armour then being told that this is halfing size, and your Half-Orc can't use it. How annoying would that be?

Precisely this annoying:
- "Damn, this armor is sized Small (Dwarf, Halfling, Gnome) and I can't squeeze myself into it."
- "I guess I'd better take it to Cromwell, or Ribald Barterman, or Arnolinius."
- "Can you expand this armor to make it sized Large (Elf, Half-Elf, Human, Half-Orc) for me, please?"
- "It'll be done in a day? Great."

Of course, this means making 2 copies of every set of armor in the game, but it's much more realistic.
