Right before i started my Elf Fighter/Mage, I decided to go find myself a house in Athkatla. I took Cernd's house in Waukeens Promenade and I have a sort of stockpile of all my treasure there. If I have a weapon or piece of armor that has a name or if it is something i dont have yet, il go put it somewhere in the house. Im trying to get one of everything in the game, but I guess that means im going to have to cheat and boot Jaheira out in the underdark. Am I just really wierd or do some of you do this as well??

I tend to do that to differing degrees depending on how much gold I need from selling stuff. I don't generally find a house though, but rather use my Stronghold as a stockpile. My most enjoyable means of stockpiling stuff is when I play a Thief & sell everything to my own little shopkeeper - every once in a while I'll look over his inventory with a strange sense of enjoyment at what a cool little magic shop I've assembled... heh... I'm much worse... I always use the Planar Sphere as my warehouse (even if I'm playing a non-mage class) and I spend HOURS (real-time!!!) organizing all my stuff in the chests... one for potions, one for scrolls and cases, one for jewelry, one for weapons, another one for armor, one for projectiles, one for the stuff I'm going to take to Spellhold (for Imoen) and even one for "Crap Nobody Cares About" (like Lavok's Journal, 'normal' armor and weapons, etc.)

im like that except i find Cernd's house has the exact amount of storage places i need and I also kinda pretend that my house is small so it doesnt grab attention. If i saw a planar sphere in my city, id check it out

I always stack up worthless things in container above the Adventures Mart, the container is located just south-east of the adv. mart (a round carving in the wall).

Waukeens Promenade is the perfect place for storage, because the map never changes in the game (if it does, all the stored items would be lost)

I usually store parts of un-forged items, like the equalizer pom gem, hammer of thunderbolts (though this part is usable), gesen bow string ect...

Or I just cheat in a Bag of Holding (only when soloing)

I usually have different rooms.

One is a library with all books, (nonmagical) scrolls and stuff. I have a bookcase (or desk) reserved for different topics. One for the Athkatla underworld, one for the Underdark another for Jon I and soforth.

I have an armoury where cool weapons and armour that I don't use, but can't get myself to part with either go.

Then I have a collection of oddities and art objects (all those quest items).

Then I have a small gem hoard.

Finally all my NPC's get a cupboard (ideally in their own homes) where quest items relating specifically to them goes.

BTW, I am an avid looter that usually clears a battlefield of anything sellable.

I don't tend to horde stuff really- i mean i'll keep hold off stuff that might come in handy later on, like weapons, key items etc....most other stuff gets flogged to feed my visits to the...ah...ahem...pleasure rooms...

Whats the use of storage areas if you can upgrade the Bag Of Holding??

Myself, I usually sell most of the valuables i get from fights/houses/other map objects. The stuff I like or feel I could use in the future i stock into the bag of holding. Others are sold. All the quest items I usually drop at the point where they become no longer needed. Never had the patience to make up a collection

Hmmmm...how does one upgrade the bag of holding then? does it have something to do with that nice chap Cromwell in Athalka? Also i've heard about other items being upgraded - i assume this would be the same process?
