I know that even if you don't have yoshi in your party he is still there at spellhold, but what if he is in your party, you let him be killed (or kill him yourself) and then raise him after spellhold????? Would that work? Anyone care to try?
just a thought Cheers, Moiraine Sedai

I think this doesn't work.
Six of Spades made an extensive research on such tactics. Six, would you post all of them, please?

Just thinking about Throne of Bhaal... spoiler!!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In the beginning of Throne of Bhaal, when you've defeated Illasera, you will be automatically transported to your Pocket Plane, where you will have your little chat with the Solar. If you do not have a party yet (start a new Throne of Bhaal game) or wish to change NPC's in your party, then you can use those fancy spirits (or whatever they are) to summon any NPC to the Pocket Plane, save for one. Aye, you've guessed it right: Yoshimo cannot be summoned. He's in the list, true enough, but if you click on him the spirits will say something like: "The person you are trying to get here is dead. He cannot be summoned." To conclude: I do not think you can resurrect Yoshimo after Spellhold. IIRC he is removed from your party if he dies, and why would you even want him? He betrayed you (even if he had that geas cast on him).

True, Yoshimo is not supposed to live to the end of the game. But it is possible to abuse some glitches and keep him.

If you really want to keep Yoshimo, before you enter the Spellhold, go inside any building and put him near the doorway. Then drop him from the party (and tell him to wait for you there). Once you finished the Spellhold, go back to where you dropped him. As soon as you walk into the building where you left him, pause the game and send your character to talk to him. When you do, take him back into the party. When the conversation ends and he's back in your party, he'll die from the geas. Then just resurrect him.

. . . . not as long as the paypal post, I promise! ![]() . . . . But what about all the Chapter 7 NPC speak? The loyalty question before the Tree of Life and the confrontation with Irenicus come to mind. Does Yoshi have something to say here, or does the game not recognize him at all, or does the game crash?

No, he dies before you get a chance to talk to him, I know. Once he comes into the sight of the party, the geas kills him and he falls over dead.
