Okay, yesterday I took my Wizard Slayer through Hell, specifically the Test of Fear. Fear offered me the Cloak, and I said "Let me see what's in this cave and I might come back for the Cloak later." (I'm Chaotic Good with 20 Rep, in case that's important in the dialogue.) I hand my Dragonslayer sword to Jan, he goes down the Belholder-free side and grabs himself a Tear of Bhaal. After he gets back, I spoke to Fear again and said that I wouldn't need the Cloak after all.

Now I'm wondering what would have happened if I'd accepted the Cloak.....Shadowkeeper lists more than just 5 Tears of Bhaal, so I think the Tear itself is what carries the information that says which reward you get. If this is the case, could I have refused the Cloak, gotten the Good Tear, then accepted the Cloak, gone to the Door to get my Good Reward and no Alignment change? I must ponder this......

Doesn't Fear vanish once you refuse the cloak?
I never take it, so wouldn't know, but I presume that's what happens.

Very interesting indeed, though I've never seen that dialogue before.
I wonder what triggers it ..

off-topic:
Can anybody give me a link to the thread that there was about the Tears and there out-come... and the precise exp you get.. wich items (not only the Tear effects but the things you get by doing the Good or Evil way) it was 1 month ago I think I saw this thread.. somebody?

Yes, you should be able to get evil bonusses by swapping tears.
Of course, that's an evil act in itself so you should also change your alignment while you're at it

And, a quick copy and paste job later (from the Ironworks site of course, to support the local population.)

Like six said, here be spoilers. about the tears in this case.

Known Stuff about the Tests:
Wrath: (Good) = +1 to WIS and CHA, 22000 party EXP for killing Sarevok
(Evil) = +2 to STR, +1 to your PC's primary stat (If you're a Multiclass, it might be the primary stat of whichever class cames first in the name, e.g. a Fighter/Thief might get STR)
Greed: (Good) = +2 bonus to all Saving Throws, 20000 EXP for giving up Blackrazor
(Evil) = +15 maximum hitpoints, Blackrazor, 18000 party EXP for killing Genie
Selfish: (Good) = -2 maximum hitpoints, -1 DEX, -75000 of the PC's EXP, +10% Magic Resistance
(Evil) =Must Raise fallen member (unless soloing), +2 bonus to AC
Fear: (Good) = Permanently immune to Normal and +1 weapons
(Evil) = Cloak of Bravery, +2 to CON
Pride: (Good) = +20% resistance to Fire, Cold, and Electricity
(Evil) = +200,000 EXP for the PC alone, +22000 party EXP for killing the Dragon, Ring of Protection+2, Robe of the Evil Archmagi, scrolls of Time Stop, Wail of the Banshee, and Sphere of Chaos, 20 Arrows of Dispelling, 20 Bolts of Lightning, 100gp.

ALL of the Evil paths will turn your PC's alignment to Neutral Evil--permanently--unless you happen to be Evil already, and have the BaldurDash Fixpack installed, in which case your alignment will remain unchanged. As the hostile creatures in the Test of Fear can be killed (or avoided) by both the Good and Evil paths, their EXP was not counted in this summary.

[EDIT:] Slight corrections in the Pride and Greed tests. [/EDIT]

Slight correction, SixOfSpades. It is +20% to Fire, Cold and Electrical Resistances, not +15%.
