Need Some Advices VS.SheLich-The Lich in The Docks-Tactics Mod

I am a Solo Sorcerer level 19 and I am having a hard time with her.Any Advice(s)??

No, it's a new lich located in a previously abandonded house in the Docks district, added with the Tactics Mod.

Specifically, what are you having problems with Xen? Any particular spell you die to? Can't get through her protections? Skellies & Bone Golem giving you problems?

Nope, he;s talking about Gerhard Butcher ( something along those lines ) Improved Lich in the docks. She's in the building next to the Thieves'compound.

Newayz, she's very hard to deal with, as she reads her time-stops from a scroll (uninterruptable) and has some nifty spells + contingencies.

Im not mentioning the skeleton warriors and bone-golem yet am I ?

Unfortunately I cant really comment on the fight itself .. I fought her only once with a quite high-lvl party. I was getting kinda panicky, when I decided to let loose a mage with the SotM during a timestop. That happily dispelled a lot of her protections at the time, leaving her vulnerable to my fighters rushing in.

I think she fell during her own timestop, because of some after-damage ( might have been Sanchuudoku's work, cant remember ).

I think Dundee posted his fight a while ago . .try searching for it [img]smile.gif[/img]

Try Protection from Undead, so the Skel Warriors can't see you.
If you have the Staff, you can meleee the bone golem down (club it in da head, reequip the staff and he can't see ya, rinse & repeat). To reequip fast, if you put it in your first weapon slot just press 'F2' -or 'F3', I can't remember right now- and you're invis again (this is really cool for a mage/thief, and also for a solo sorcerer).

The thieves won't see you either, all it takes is a "puff" of a Wand of CloudKill in the right direction and let pollution do the dirty work...

The lich: Easy as pie, too. Try "Incendiary Clouds" (the level 8 spell) on her. Liches and undead fellows in general tend to have a really poor resistance to fire. Soon you'll see her taking HUGE loads of damage! (At level 19, she'll be taking 19D4 of fire damage PER ROUND! (Save Vs. Spells for half).

The loot is beefy... the best cloak in the game!.

errr...shouldnt this need a spoiler tag?? i didnt know there was a lich in the docks, let it be with a new mod or not. i plan on getting that one next.

Do you have TOB? If so, summon a Planeter to take on the Golem and skeleton warriors? Do that and then concetrate on taking down the liches protections. Without more info on what you have at your disposal and like Rataxes said, what is hurting you we don't have much to go on.

BTW where is the "cheers" closing? I rather enjoyed it and must say I actully used it here at work a couple times. Hope you don't mind. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Not a new mod, but a relatively old one that has been packaged in with Tactics. The component in question is called 'Lich in the Docks', so I don`t realy think that it would be much of a spoil to say that it puts a lich in the docks. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Gain immunity to the following elements first, before you enter the room.

Magic Damage
Fire
Electricity

Buff up with spells like Mirror Image, Spell Immunity:Evocation and Spell Immunity:Necromancy. Spell Trap from the Staff of Magi( which you should have by now) is useful too.

Ignore the Lich and concentrate on killing the Undead minions first. Summon Skeleton Warriors far away from you, so that they can avoid the initial barrage from the Lich. Try to do this during a Time Stop. Use Protection from Magical Weapons if necessary.

After dealing with the minions, activate Spell Immunity:Alteration and Spell Immunity:Conjuration. Proceed to pelt her to death with a sling, prefably the Sling of Everand.

Try to avoid using Melf's Minute Meteors, as she might have Spell Turning active, unless you do not mind using Ruby Ray of Reversal. Try to distract her with summons, especially Skeleton Warriors.

Alternatively, you can try the punching bag method. She is the only one in the room who "cheats", and by standing near her minions (I know, you can't help but do so) some of them will get splash damage and become irritated with her. While the nastiest critter in the room was keeping her attention, I was drinking x-heal potions and doing my fly on the wall impression.

At what I felt to be the ideal moment, just me, a badly injured beastie and the lich, I called in the rest of the party, except for the main character, since I figured she still had some instant kill stuff. Well, I thought I called in the rest of the party except for the main character. He died.

No we didn't win it, but I bet we would have, save for that one stupid mistake. If you could summon skel warriors, that would be at least as good as bringing in my mopes.

Oh, well. I'll come back when I get another level. 13 is my lucky number.
