Jaheira Romance

Well, for the first time since playing BG2 over and over and over and over i decided i would tackle her romance atleast once.

But i seem to have run into the dreaded bug i had heard about

Here is what has transpired so far:

Done harper hold quest with xzar
done harper hold quest with galvery
done various ambushes with harpers
killed dermin
rescued jaheira from harper hold mercenaries

But i am not seeing any real romance options for her, i think i got stuck on a step where she has a morning talk (one dialogue early on repeated) im not sure how to get to the step after that one to continue the romance.

Did doing all of those harper hold quests make it impossible to make the romance continue or are they somewhat seperate as in can happen anytime in the romance?

The Harper Hold-quest is actually the start of the romance, so you aren't screwed there.

Do you know the CLUAConsole? It has many nifty codes for the romances. The first thing you might want to try, is to use this code:

There is two ways for the romance to continue. One, being the Bandit quest. You are awakened by a group of bandits that have Jaheira hostage, and if you take a shot from an arrow for her it will allow the romance to continue, and this is the only, and I stress only thing that will allow the romance to progress all the way. This cannot take place in any Inn or Dungeon, only outside (Windspear, de'Arnise Stronghold, Umar, and so forth).

Another way to allow it to progress is to go to the Docks District in Athkatla, and right beside the temple there, you'll see a fat merchant and he'll ask if you want a locket. If you accept, Jaheira will tell you to give it back, but he says "Sorry, no refunds." or something like that. Inside the locket is a magicly produced picture of you and Jahiera in arms.

Actually, that merchant have nothing to say for the romance. He will not affect it in any way.

You can also let the thieves rob you in order for the romance to continue (you don't have to worry about permanently losing the 5000 GP they take) .

thanks for the tips! got that bandit and locket done

Now, i seem to be having a little trouble with a repeating dialogue again

It goes:
"you catch jaheira contemplating you. there is warmth in her eyes but it is almost entirely masked by pain and conflict"

"do not distract me . I will be of no use to anyone dead because we stood here staring at one another."

This has repeated 3 times now, i assume its part of the lovepack that i downloaded, anyone know how to get it to move on from that one?

Ah, running the Flirt Pack?

When you're early in the romance, you're not going to get too much variety in the flirts she initiates with you. Once things warm up, you start seeing more options. I think you're just getting some "unlucky" rolls.

Unless they're happening like immediately back-to-back, in which case it's a bug. But if you're simply just seeing that option every so often, it's the luck of the draw.
