Romancing the stone... (Anomen spoilers)

All jokes about the pompous pseudo-paladin aside, I have a question about the Anomen romance.

He's passed his test. We've done his quest. He found me the rare flower and said he loves me. This was right after the de'Arnise quest.

Now we've done everything in the Umar Hills and Trademeet. Our reputation is heroic, he hasn't died between then and now, and the only dialogue he's spoken is about how he passed his test. He doesn't call...he doesn't write...typical male behavior, if you ask me.

Is the romance still active? I don't have Shadowkeeper or the console enabled (plan to run through the game once in full before doing either). Am I on the right track?

try clicking the dialogue button and talk to him. If he dosen't say something now, he will soon...if that dosen't work, try something else!

I can only help you if you have CLUAConsole enabled. I think you should just use it now, since all you really are doing is to fix a possible glitch. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Oh, btw, Anomen is *not* a Paladin, only a Fighter/Cleric.

This is why I said "pseudo-paladin." In Latin pseudo is translated "as if." In other words, he's a pompous paladin-wannabe.

I have a feeling our next dialogue is going to happen right before we sleep. I've been resting to recover spells and what not, not when my party is tired.

The same thing happened when Jaheira left the note for my party. We had slept before then, but the only time she left was when party members announced that they were tired and the fatigue graphic sprung up next to their portraits.

Console is primarily used for debugging. That's why it's called debug console.
ShadowKeeper is used for informations and debugging.

These two don't modify the game in either way if you don't want it. Yes, they can be used for cheating. But I doubt you are so addicted to cheating that you cannot control yourself.

Install ShadowKeeper, and check your AnomenRomance variable. Exxon will know the rest.

Finally got the chance to speak to the stone. (What's his rallying cry? I stand amongst the self-righteous? Wait, that's Nalia. Nevermind.) Anomen told me he wants to save Taar. I think when I go save Garren Windspear's kid, I'll be okay.

Pirengle, do you have ToB? If not, be aware that even if you complete Anomen's romance successfully, his behavior will be pretty much as you describe it: Totally boring, you wouldn't even know you had been going out with him. If ToB is installed, however, right before the end of SoA Anomen will say something about how he knows he's been very quiet lately, and promises to show you more attention in the future.

Also note: There is a part in Anomen's Quest (not his romance) that can be very misleading. Try to roleplay this like any normal person and you'll wind up losing Anomen forever. PM me if you want more detailed warnings (without spoilers, of course).
