The Party has Lost an Item

Last night while I was playing single player, I got that message while fighting the lich and greater mummy in the temple ruins. I scanned my inventory, and could not think of anything I was missing. At that point, I took a screenshot of each character, and went on. A few rounds later, I got the same message. I alt-tabbed and compared the screen shots to the current character inventories, and could not find any difference. I opened up every scroll case and gem bag, and noted what was in each, and went back to fighting. A round or so later, I got the same message again. Darn it, I still couldn't find a difference, other than possibly I may be missing a +2 sling bullet, depending on whether the character had had his action that round or not.

I'm not complaining, mind you. It's not that I would prefer to be have Azuredge disappear, or something like that, but I am curious what that message means.

this happens a certain fights. i dont understand it, i would like to know so maybe dundee or six can get it.

When you finally kill Rejiek Hidesman in Trademeet, you also get this message. i have looked very time and cant find anything. ive gotten over it now, though i would still like to figure it out.

Hmm. I've never had anything "taken" from me that I couldn't account for in some way. If you were fighting Nishruu, it might make sense that items could vanish, but not Liches & Mummies. Did you only get that message while in combat?

The Trademeet one might very well be part of a script: If you picked up something of Raissa's, she will walk up to you and take it back.

Yes, but speaking from experience, it doesn't matter whether or not you pick up that item before she speaks to you.

Thorfinn, out of curiosity, is your PC's inventory actually full at the time you receive the message? If not, I'd ignore it as a weird but harmless bug. If so, & if you have a Save right before, try Reloading & freeing a few spaces & see if you acquire anything. If not, as above, ignore it as a weird but harmless bug.
