All my charactors are idiots! I have a marching order with the S formation; but, everybody gets in front of each other. It's like the keystone cops. Even if you move them one at a time, they still don't move where you ask them. I didn't have this problem in Ulcaster and the passageway was the same size. I have my F/T out in front detecting traps; but, the other morons run in front. I've read all the posts and I don't mind the kobalds. They should of noticed this problem. You should be able to tell a guy to walk to point A, and expect him to do it. The game has been very fun up until now. My charactors are powerfull enough to beat this dungeon. I can do it in one shot; but, not if I can't get my guys to walk. Sorry about the negativity. I really enjoy the challenge; but, this is ridiculous.

My solution to the Firewine dungeon was simply to leave most of the party at the entrance. If they ain't walkin', they ain't steppin' on traps, either. All you need is a fighter with a high AC against missles and someone to find the traps. For a real slaughterhouse, have the fighter down an Oil of Speed. (Note: Fighter/thieves and Cleric/thieves can find traps while in full armor.)

Thanks a lot. It really isn't that hard of a dungeon as long as I get a few of the guys to walk straight. I took my dwarven tank ( the arrows just bounce off ), and my elven archer/theif. No problems. You have to go a little slow. Thanks again.

my second time thru the game i avoided it all togther, there is nothing of value in the ruins, and you don't even get additional exp points for the quest.

Yep, nothing really worth. There is a simple solution to do this quest:

In the first house in the village there is one suspiciously looking guy. If you talk with him, say you smell kobolds and press hm, he will plead guilty. After killing him you will find secret doors (back entrance) to the dungeon. The bad guy is almost right there and you can finish quest immediately avoiding all traps and 90% of kobolds.
First time I played I didnt want to look for wineyard were you are supposed to start quest. I just wanted to look around village and loot everything what is not screw in or nailed. I interrogated that guy, killed mage, chief of village said thanks, then I started to explore dungeon. And I was really disappointed with it - no cool items, only traps and kobolds.

The Kobald Commandos in the dungeon regenerate each time you go in! Unlimited Fire-arrows if you are patient enough!!! I send in one fighter in with fire resistance and a low ac, leaving the rest of the party at an entrance for support.Kill,KILL,KILL!!! And then go back and pick them arrows up! Good way to make cash too, if you sell some off!

I had Imowen with the boots of stealth and shadow armor+45 stealth and I just had her walk through the maze and then killed the guys at the end with arrows, and sword attacks followed by a retreat into darkness. Didn't even take a scratch.
