Does anyone know if theres an item that increases dexterity? Because i've got Anomen and he's pretty hard with his Flail of ages, and the Cleric spells he has come in real handy for beefing himself up before smiting and nasties that require it. But the only thing about him that annoys me is his dexterity - at the moment its 10 - which makes his armour class a bit poo!

In BG1 there's the gaunlets of dexterity - are they in BG2 or is there a similar item? i don't need to know where because i'll find it eventually...i'll always find you eventually! theres no where to hide muuuhaaahaaaa!..hehehe...ahem...sorry i've spent to much time alone prancing around in the woods....so if there is then goody but if not i may be forced to get rid of him! although i haven't found anyone worth replacing him with.

Valygar and Mazzy are good, but they don't have the cleric spells...

Yes, the Gauntlets of Dexterity are included in BG2 as well.

Highlight the text below if you wanna know where.
*
You will find them in the zombie-city in the Temple Sewers, while doing the Unseeing Eye-quest.*

In BG II there is also a pair of Gaunlets of Dexterity, there is also a belt that raises your Dexterity to 18 for 24 hours IIRC.

[add] Goddam you Sir Exxon ..

There is no belt that raises dex.

There is a Girdle of Fortitude though, that raises your con.

What I have to keep smacking myself for is my refusal to use Potions when I've got stacks & stacks of them just sitting around. For instance, I'll take Anomen and, like you, grit my teeth and endure his poor AC until I can get those Gauntlets. I'll slog my way through a difficult fight, without using potions, because I'm "Saving them for emergencies."

And so it follows that when I actually DO get the Gauntlets, Anomen's been lugging 20 Potions of Agility around in his backpack the whole time. DOH!!!

By the way.... What the Hell are you doing with Anomen anyways?...

Did I mention I'm a member of a group called the ''Anti-Anomen Society''

Bleh, Anomen is flat out annoying, he's even worse than the knights at the house of the Radiant Heart (not wait, they're cool).

*Makes note to self*
Find time to find these clans online...

Anomen actually develops a good attitude, if you romance him. In all honesty, when my Blade was going out with him I wanted to smack Jan around for some of the things he said to Anomen. Of course, I also wanted to smack Anomen for not putting up more of a fight in those dialogues, but that's another point. So, yes, Anomen isn't always a pain in the ass to have around. (Although his "I'm so happy the party has 20 Rep" quote is rather annoying.)

Power-wise, Anomen kicks ass. Best Cleric in the game, better than Viconia. (Who else can call up Aerial Servants as soon as they join the party?) The difference between 16 WIS and 18 WIS is a single 3rd-level spell and a single 4th-level spell. I think that's a fair trade-off for a good Tank with 5 stars in whatever-you-want and all the buffing spells you'll need.
