Does anyone know where the person who wrote The Darkest Day is from ?
I finally managed to download it, and I think it's pretty cool from what I've seen of the mod so far. One thing I noticed though is the written English in the game (particularly item descriptions) could benefit from some editting.

The question is this: do you think the authors would be offended if I offered to proof-read things like dialogues and item descriptions for them and fix some of the grammar and wording ? I would love to help them get the wording right, but I don't mean to offend (afterall, I know diddly-squat about programming), and overall I think it's an excellent mod.

Don`t know from where he is but you can send him an E-Mail(look into Readme.txt file for mored details) and ask him through there.

I have TDD too an it`s pretty cool.Especially when you get quest from Elminster himself in Riatavin.(You must talk to Forp to get this on your map-Coper Coronet)...

Oh and Bonus Merchants are cool too.

Some things are waaaayyyyyy overpowerd(Read:Silver Dragon Bracers)....

Cheers

Since you've obviously played it Xen, where should I look to find new joinable NPC's ? I don't want spoilers, just where to look please.

I think they'd love it!!.

TDD is an enjoyable MOD, but like I posted in another thread it still needs a lot of polishing. You can tell if an item/spell is TDD-specific just from taking a look at the grammar & spelling...

These are the NPC's and the areas in which they are found.

Vesine---- Small Teeth Pass (Sun Lake Inn)
Avaunis--- Order of the Radiant Hart
Kagain---- City Gates
Shar-teel- Government District's Prison
Yeslick---- Temple District
Robilard--- Docks
Adario---- Copper Coronet
Kivan----- Umar Hills
Xzar(sp?)- Docks
Montaron- Docks

The original authors of TDD no longer support it but there are caretakers on a forum at www.teambg.net. I've heard that in a recent patch they correct most of the spelling/grammar mistakes, but you could post to the TDD forum and mention anything they missed IF you are using the latest patch, which I think is 1.0.3a. If you're not using the latest patch, a forum vigilante may tell you that you smell bad.

I went to their chat room on irc (couldnt be bothered waiting for another forum registration) and I was indeed told to bugger off and get the latest patch.
The problem is that I do in fact have the latest patch, and I even ran their active online patch cheching thing, which also told me I'm up-to-date. The spelling and grammar is pitiful, sometimes you just skip the story of an item and read the stats.

Other than that, it's an excellent mod. Really great.

I've only had 1 bug so far, when I managed to kill a certain Boss Mage in a certain library before he started talking (accidently, I was just too fast and his timing was a bit slow). This resulted in the game getting stuck, as the only way out was by being teleported after the battle. As the battle never officially started, I never got teleported, so I had to CLUA the guy back in (took me a while to work out too), let him talk, then kill him again.

That happens A LOT!
The MOD has a lot of "CutScenes", and sometimes a creature summoned by you triggers the cutscene. If the summon is big enough (like a Skeleton Warrior), the 'Boss' might get killed before he does his speech, and you'll get stuck. Watch out, especially during Thorknar's quest, and in Trollford.
