Fighter/Mage spell limits?

First of all, thanks for the response from my last question

But i have another :|

I have a half-elf dual class Fighter/Mage but i cant use any spells above level 2.

Both classes are level 4, and i have leaned several lv3 spells, but there are no memorisation slots.

Whats going on? is it a bug?

A mage cannot cast level 3 spells until he reaches character level 5. But your level 4 multiclass mage should be able to cast level 2 spells by now. There are not really any powerful level 2 spells though, but some can be fairly useful.

Ah, thanks a lot. Does that apply to all levels?
will i not be able to do lvl 4 spells until i reach lvl 6? or does the gap increse (like i cant cast lvl 4spells until lvl7?)

You get slots in a new level every two levels of your character, so youll be able to cast lvl 3 spells at level 5, level 4 spells at level 7 and so on.
