Just wondering

ok just a little query this time

i have just entered the crypts below candlekeep and obviously have encountered lots of traps, my druid can detect the traps but seeing as i do not have a thief player

i cant seem to disarm them! is it possible to disarm them another way? and i dont think i have a disarm spell.

A thief is almost absolutely necessary in any party ! there is no other way to disarm traps, so you´ll just have to try to avoid them, or walk through them with your strongest character (maybe protecting him/her from arrows or magic is a good idea for that)

Ok, well i guess its 2 late 2 leave the crypts a find a thief? or should i find one after i get out of this place?

I thought you could use some summoned monsters to set of traps for you. Seeing as you have a druid, you should have some animal summoning spells. See if that works.

Good idea Jansen, but if i remember correctly summoned minions dont set off the traps. Im not sure anyway, its worth a shot

I don't think so, I once used summon animals in a room full of traps and they didn't set any off.

Thanks guys but i already had that brain wave and they didnt set it off!, will the fact that i dont have a thief mean i cant finish the game? um i think i left imowen in cloakwood when i replaced her for the druid woman

Sure you can finish, but you will pay penalties crossing traps (in dungeons - trap with lightning bolt... br... uh... - if you were moving whole team there will be aproximately 4 dead bodies (unless you have protection from lightning). Anyway trap tester for 90% will be dead (maybe with boots of speed you could run away and survive 1-2 strikes?)
Anyway under Candlekeeep there are some really good items, and you can not return there, so I suggest to load last file in Chapter 5 and trace Imoen back.
