OK, I just came from Nalia's dad's funeral, having snubbed (refused to speak to) the fathead she doesn't want to marry. Thence to the Gov't Dist to buy a magic license & aquire the Planar Sphere quest, then to the Bridge District where a whole bunch of knights & a wizard jump me and thrash me silly. And me a paladin with a rep of 18 ! What did I do to deserve this !?! How do I get out of it ?-antiokos

You get jumped every so often by random enemies, likely thieves. And they are most likely of evil alignment, so the fact that you are such a reputable paladin may have something to do with it. It happened to me a few times.

Ok, I've been jumped before- actually, I got bounced by thieves 3x in between the locations described in the first post. Those, I am used to. These guys are different- heavily armored, for one thing, all with names (all Sir Somebody) and announced as Guards with a note that says word of my evils deeds has got around ! This never happened first time through (with a chaotic/good 1/2 elf fighter-cleric), that's for sure ! Maybe you are right, just random. I'll try & beat 'em-Antiokos

Are you running a mod? I know that on certain mods I've run (like the Enhanced Random Encounters mod) you'll get some pretty heavily armored guys...something called "The Black Sun", and they always drop some pretty boss equipment as well.

Those are the guards, all right. They shouldn't be attacking a character like you. Something's wrong... is there anything you might have done to attract their interest?

2) Have you made sure that you resolved the issue there first?

If no,

3) That is the cause of your situation.

He didn't say that he got attacked in the house. He said that he gets attacked on the streets by some "Sir's", so it is not related to the buried man quest at all.

I have not ran into such issue myself, but I would guess that Dundee's explanation might be the best in this case. Maybe you as a paladin were doing your "stronghold" paladin quests and didn't actually pay attention to these and neglected these quests, and now the paladins want to beat the "holy" bejezuz out of you for that. I doubt there would be any bandits or such running around with titles "Sir" and so on [img]smile.gif[/img]

There is another quest related to fallen paladins in Bridge District, not related to stronghold quests. They wouldn't chase you around as such, but maybe you somehow messed up that quest and now the Radiant Heart is after you. And if it is Radiant Heart, then smacking them will do quite a damage to your reputation [img]smile.gif[/img]

After funeral, Isaea is a bit angry with you. Then he sends city guard (he is a guard captain or something) to arrest Nalia.
