While travelling in Amn late in chapter 6, I got into one of them battles where you are waylaid or whatever. But before the battle, there was some dialog where they asked my name, and said they were searching for me. Then some of the people transformed into some of my people. It was weird, and does anybody know what this is about?

Everybody gets that waylay, it's not just you. Those people only appear in Chapter 6 (after you've been to the Graveyard Distict, I believe), so I think they're somehow related to Bodhi or Irenicus.

Simple. They were clones created by Irenicus to kill you. Didn't he create Clones when you fought him the first time? And did you read the _END_ of the dialog. "He wants to see you... NOW!" Or smething along the lines of that. *Dialog shipper*

It could also be this band of dopplegangers who are sent out to make an end of you.

There's also evidence that they were Rakshasas.....anybody who's beaten the game should know what a drop of True Sight, Mislead and Death Spell means.

I used to think that they are Dopplegangers, but after completing the game and the Tradesmeet Quest, I agree that they are Rakshasas.

Maybe I'm just ignorant, but I've beaten the game many times and don't know what you mean... please explain

Can someone explain this because I have beaten the game many times but yet never experienced this.

Please give me a blow by blow description of what happens.

EDIT: You missed a space! Oh wait, that was me.............

Near the end of the game, there are some Rakshasas for you to fight--pretty much all of them drop the exact same stuff: A normal Bastard Sword, and scrolls of Mislead, Death Spell, and True Sight. The exact same equipment is dropped by at least one of the shapeshifters who waylay you.

*Slaps head*

Thanks. Of course. I never actually thought of that.
Mind you, I've only seen those guys twice in my entire BG2 life.
