The search facility is extremely processor demanding, especially when multiple people use it as once. It has been known to crash the server in the past, so that's probably why it's been removed again. I'm sure a mod will enlighten you [img]smile.gif[/img] . |

Yes i noticed that too. It was back then it was removed again
 But while it WAS here I did notice a slowdown on the site every so often so this is probably connected.

Its a GD topic but relevant to all forums so I think thats why he posted it here.

We probably wont see Search back again until after the next software upgrade - which IIRC Ziroc said was supposedly more efficient at searching. Problem is you searching through a massive amount of posts and the server can only take so much load at once.
