After Edwin has finished his 'quest' after encountering the other Red Wizard he no longer complains when you just click on him, e.g. "All Right", "Yes, Master".
Has anyone else encountered this problem and know how to correct it? |

I'd hardly call that a problem. Edwin not complaining, that is a blessing!
Anyway, latest patches should fix it, as the every wise Dundee suggested. EDIT: Changed text. What is a "blessing in!"? [ 11-26-2002, 02:26 PM: Message edited by: DJG ] |

I've installed the official Bioware patches for both SOA and TOB. I've also installed the Baldurdash Remix. This didn't correct the problem.
On advice of others I went back to Baldurdash's site and downloaded the specific files to fix the Edwin Nether Scroll quest. Unfortunately it appears that the fix doesn't take. He still will not complain upon selection and some of his remarks are worth listening to -- "give the monkey a banana" etc. etc. Probably have to start a new game to see if this "fix" works. |

Two things:
1) Bad idea installing both the SoA and ToB patches together. 2) To heck with Remix. It does not contain all the bugfixes. Go get the original ToB Fixpack. Worse come to worst, do a fresh reinstall in the following order. 1) SoA 2) ToB 3) ToB Official Patch 4) ToB Baldurdash Fixpack 5) Mods |

Didn't think installing both the SOA and TOB patches would cause a problem as I installed them in sequence.
1. Baldurs Gate SOA, then Bioware's Official SOA patch. 2. Throne of Baal, then Bioware's Official TOB patch. Would have thought the TOB patch would override whatever files the SOA patch created. When you refer to Baldurdash's TOB Fixpack, are you referring to the Baldurdash Remix which I accessed following the link from Weimer's site? This contained fixes for both SOA and TOB? |

Why is Edwin not Complaining a problem?
Why don't you leave it, so you don't get mocked by the spellman in red. |
