hwo do u keep ur old items from ur old game when u import a character? i paused it then saved it and the screen (play area) just stayed blank although i could hear my chars when i selected them. the cutscene did not show up. wot should i do?

You have to go to your inventory screen, your equipment from BG1 should be on the ground, free for you to pick up. This has to be done before the very first cut-scene though, when the screen is still black that is.

Also you loose ur gem bag and in bg2s case u loose ur scrol case, gem bag, and bag of holding. so take all ur valubles out of the befor importing.
