Later in the Dungeon before you meet Bohdi and trun into a slayer, there is a room with a pool and 3 statues that you can take stuff from. but how do you get the picture from the one statue that disentigrates your character if you try???

If you have a cleric or a high level Paladin, cast death ward on yourself and then get the painting.

Use the character with the highest saving throws. Then just quick save before you do it and reload if you fail.
