Im referring to the alignment you choose for your character, if you closely observe that mostly everyone you know happens to fall somewhere in one of these 9 alignments, although you cant take into account BG2's definitions for every word for the alignments, heck ive just realised that im a Lawful neutral, where as my dads a Chaotic good & my mom is Lawful Evil

What do you mean by "you cant take into account BG2's definitions for every word for the alignments"?

You're lawful neutral? Poor guy...

I would have to say I am lawful good I can get along with people of most alignments although evil people I just want to smite at times, but I have alot of control, other times other good people can annoy me has well especially when they abuse the system, weather it be cheating on income taxes, or smuggling a member of their family to the country (chaotic, maybe neutral good), because some of work so hard and just get a shaft because of people who abuse the system. The people who do these things are not nessacerily evil and sometimes do these things to try and help others. They still make it bad for us lawful people.

the average person is true nuetral with good tendencies (as per the monstrous manual's entry on humans) i think it fits really well.

Yes, True Neutral suits well for the average NPC in BG2.
I myself prefer Neutral Good (not that that is the subject in this thread, but still ).

Question Mark

True neutrals are hard to find, everyone has an opinion about something, wether good or bad.

The Alignment references are to the game BG2 ofcourse ...so they dont have much application in the real world....., ;\

Actually, you could take some kind of test on a homepage (don´t remember which, but I think it was Ironworks acsosiated) where you would find out your ADD profession, alignment and sometimes religion (ex. follower of Helm). I turned out to be a chaotic neutral thief. Chaotic neutral suits me pretty good I think...

actually not so hard to find as you would think, most people have varied view on many things that others would consider good or bad, not to open a can of worms, but take abortion, alot of people think that it's evil, alot of people don't, so someone who does it must be evil... not true, people by and large are a mix of all alignments, usually with a little more good than anything else, but they aren't selfless enough to qualify as neutral good, so I consider them neutral with good tendencies.

I can think of few people who are the extremes (chaotic evil, Osama Bin Ladin, Lawful Evil, Saddam Hussien, Lawful good, Mother Theresa, the Pope, chaotic good, Robin Hood - I can't think of any modern person who fits the descripton)

whenever I take the test it says lawful good paladin/monk usually either 1/2orc or elven, which is odd considering my favorite race is dwarves, who hate elves and 1/2orcs
