Man oh man... It's been a while

It's been years since I've been knocking around on here. I want to apologise for that, for starters. This place has crossed my mind on and off for a long while now, but tonight I was playing BG:EE and wondered what prophecies the chanters of Alaundo were actually referring to, and one Google search lead to another, and.... Well, here I am. Back again. Hopefully to stay this time.

Wonder how many old faces are still around that I know...

How's everyone been?

EDIT: Man... It's been four years since I was last here. I'm reading back on old threads and, not gonna lie, I teared up at a couple of them (I wish I'd gotten to know some people better, and now it's too late), and seeing so many familiar names, it felt a lot like coming home again. It's weird, I never noticed how much I'd been missing this place and the people until I came back.

BG:EE's are so awesome! Have you played Legend of Grimrock? Its an Eye of the Beholder type game--made as a homage to it. The second one is even better!

Hey there, Dragonshadow. That's funny how a Google search brought you back. That's the way most of us found our way here the first time, and am glad to see it still works.

Oh man, I love Grimrock! Second one over the first, given the choice, but they're both great fun. I've not finished the second one yet, but I did manage to kill a monster by throwing my ratling gunner's pants at it repeatedly when I ran out of ammo and my minotaur tank was crippled. Slowest, yet most satisfying, kill ever.

The bearded dragon is a disabled rescue girl called Daenerys, and the amel stripe corn snake's Vivec. Dany's been with me three years, Vivec for two months. They've helped me through some tough times - About six months back I was diagnosed with a nerve condition which may be degenerative, docs aren't sure yet, but results in constant pain in my arms, hands and shoulders. I'm medicated to the gills on painkillers, and things are starting to look up.

It's good to be back Glad to see some familiar faces again. How's everyone doing these days?

Interestingly, I also just made my way back here after another person posted a link to a thread they had found here on the Beamdog forum. Of course, then I saw that I had several private messages and that I had....well, I had failed at something. *sigh*
