I need spell graphics for the following, if there is anyone out there that wants to help out.

Wow, that's a lot of spells
![]() I am currently using the standard spell effects for a lot of these (like charm person, enlarge, power word spells, etc.)... Seems that most of these would not have a visible effect, anyway (well, enlarge/reduce would, but this would be quite difficult to achieve in DC)... I do think that sticks to snakes, blade barrier, and meteor swarm would be fun spells to do, if somewhat complicated. Does petrification work in DC already, by the way? Does the petrified PC get a special "petrified" icon when in this state? I do want to do some more spell graphics, but I think I will be concentrating on the lower levels first. However, I will unfortunately be hopping into another period of low art activity for a while again ![]()

You think this list is long, you should the list of spells that have their own art already.
![]() I'll be working on these too, if no one else steps up, or multiple people. Right now, I'm using art from 5 different artists. ![]() |

Actually, I was planning to first do spells like entangle (not finished), fireball (not finished), lightning bolt, cone of cold, and various druid spells... mostly levels 1-5 or so. (My game is still like 1% done, so I dunno when I will have the chance to have PCs cast finger of death or blade barrier or whatever yet...)
I had tried a light spell before (effect: blindness), but it didn't look too good... ![]() Still looking forward to the day when summoning spells can be implemented ![]()

Monster summoning - I'm sure you've noticed by now (or maybe you haven't looked) but FRUA handled it differently than version 1e. Depending on how it's implemented in the code, we end up with is being more like FRUA than 1e.

Mmm? Did FRUA or any of the Gold Box games have monster summoning spells implemented? (I only remember some enemies, like Lord something-or-other who looked rather like Lord Soth in Champions of Krynn, gating in some enemies during combat.)
I am willing to overlook some differences with 1e if summoning works in some way ![]()

The spell is available in FRUA. I don't recall using it, and I do seem to recall reading that there were some issues with it, most likely that it worked but not properly.
It would be nice if DCs version could be coded in such a way to duplicate 1e. ![]() |

Heh, heh... I think the 1e and 2e versions were quite similar, except for the list of monsters from which summoned monsters were chosen... (But hopefully we get to choose and modify, anyway
![]() Anyway, besides the monster summoning spells, we have a few other conjuration spells as well (conjure elemental, etc.), which all work somewhat differently (I think having the "this spell backfires" thing will be difficult). But anyway, having summoning work will give us a whole slew of new spells almost right away ![]()
