Thief HLA

What level does a thief get the ability to 'use any item'? and will it allow him to withdraw that sword from the monolith in watchers keep?

Bards and trueclassed Thieves start gaining HLAs at Level 24--you can choose Use Any Item at any Level-Up from then on.

And no, it won't. You can use it, but not obtain it.

Being evil I can not obtain it, can MINSC obtain it for me because roleplaying wise I could never entertain the use of a Paladin.

Nope--the character has to be Lawful Good.

I am trying to maximize my magic resistance while being a wizard slayer / thief character.

u could RP some serious magical research / divine intervention by donating a *lot* of money to a temple . . . *

and then changing your alignment in shadowkeper for a bit (which might work)

* i donate 10,000 to the temple of grond for them to source me some boots of speed early in the game - i've played this too often to be dawdling round alkathla . . .

That's what i love about this game, years of playing it and still some new things to learn. OK where is the temple of grond?

oh - sorry - what i actually do is shadowkeeper the boots in - i just pretend that's what i'm doing

but it's in the docks - 2nd 'teir' down in the middle - actually i might mean 'oghma' - the god of knowledge anyway - i figure that if anyone 'knows' where to get hold of some . . .
