Arrow Sword of Truth TV series.

You can buy the pilot online and I just got it out of curiosity. Anyone else getting it? From what I heard it's only loosely based on the books, which in my opinion can hardly be a bad thing in this case. I'm about to watch it I'll let you know what I thought of it tomorrow.

The pilot isn't bad. The last couple of books of the series pissed me off and I have a bad opinion of the author so I would have liked for this show to fail horribly, but the truth is that it's actually a decent fantasy show so far. Worth checking out another episode or two to see how it turns out.

About the changes. Sometimes they followed the plot of the first book, sometimes they made stuff up. Unless you oppose change for being change I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with what they did. Beside the new plot elements introduced for the serial format I think this is the editing the books so badly needed. We'll see how it turns out.

Oh yeah just one thing. The show looks like it has a pretty high production value so I think unless they get a pretty big success I don't think they'll keep it going for long.

So, you have to download them all, or are they actually on TV? I have not seen anything about this.

It's going to be on tv, it's produced by ABC for syndication. The website has a tool so you can find out where it plays in your area.

got the pilot and one episode on my DVR now. Havn't watched it yet, but it's made by the same people that did Xena and Herc isn't it? Heard something about it being all filmed in NZ.
Will check it out this weekend.

Woot! Sunday evenings at 6PM... and again at midnight!

Now, to see if it's worth it...

Hey! I found it on TVGuide saying that it shows on Sunday nights at 7pm on a local channel for me! The online guide also says that it should be on Saturday nights as a repeat, but I cannot find that on TVGuide.com. It looks like I've missed 3 episodes, and I hate coming in late like that.

ive seen first 3 episodes. im a fan of the series (the last few was questionable for my taste).

As a fan = severly disappointed with how they went offtrack from the book

As a tv show watcher = I thought it was a decent sci-fic

I am still debating how I feel about it though. truthfully I was disappointed with the 1st 2 episodes when it wasnt based on the first book

Trailer looks really good. It my be due to the time that I missed it. I would think to check the TV for shows at 7pm on Sunday.
