Is there a way to increase abilities for the NPC's in BGII?
Yes, I want to cheat.
I was injured in car accident, am having a lot of trouble using my arms and hands, especially the left.
I would like to go through the game and experience the unfolding story, but I cannot be quick on the defense, or offence for that matter.
I just finished IWD and was able to use the manuals to increase abilities just like BG.

Thanks,
Lysa Sofia

GO download shadow keeper, an editor that can increase all stats and import items weapons and spell. you can have it here in the BG2 cheat section.

By the way, Welcome

Welcome Lysa - I can see that you are a new user and welcome you to the board.

(bows respectfully)

Secondly to "cheat" The NPC's ability you need shadowkeeper, which I think you can download from Ironworks (try the link above)

It *WAS* there before but I've been with the board long enough to say that things change like the winds over here.

Once again - Welcome and happy cheating!!

Also,if you have your cheats enabled:
When you are creating your character and allocating stat' points, if you press 're-roll' and then press CTRL and 8 ,then all your stats will be set to 18,and depending on what race you are you can subtract points from one stat' and add to another.
( to activate the Console and cheats,Find the 'Baldur ini.' file in your BG2 folder, right click and open.
Find the heading 'Program options' and at the bottom of the list under 'Program options',add the line:
Debug Mode=1

-Now find the heading,'Game options'and at the bottom of that list ,add the line:
Cheats=1

-Now go to 'file' and save.
Note:If either line is already there then of course there's no need to change it.

Welcome!
If you're having trouble pausing the game and such, you might try to use the auto-pause features in the game. The game really is much more fun without cheating.

darkjedi, you can change the stats of your entire party...just switch between them using the arrows on either side of the portrait
