HMM I'm actually wondering what it was that made you have to format C:. I know of hardly any problems that might require you to do this....there is always another way.........unless somehow you managed to corrupt a large percentage of files on your drive such that they were unreadable???

He Vaskez, it isn't such a bad idea to format your C drive ones in a while, because a lot of programs you uninstall leave a lot of rubbish on your pc right?

I don't know what his probs were, but I do know I had to reformat C last time I updated from the Microsoft site! *Something* came thru that didn't agree with the ol' pc, and the next thing I know, everything was kaput! (This, being of course, the highly technical explanation...) Finally, after trying every diagnostic, etc. known to man and womankind, I reformatted and so far (why does everyone hide when I need to knock on wood?) everything's been basically ok.

hehe, doesn't happen to me, I use McAfee Uninstaller. It finds all registry entries and file interdependancies and gets rid of everything.
