In the crypt dungeon, I defeated Scabban and jumped down to the water tunnels. I defeated a bunch of ghouls, but now I don't know what to do! I haven't gotten the gold key yet.

Welcome to the board, gate93!!!
Have you located the tombs of heros? Have you talked with Nivius? Sworn the oath? Gotten the Ring? If you have manage to find the Tomb of Heros - you will find a corridor going off to the east with a grate blocking your way. Swim down and you will find the gold key. I don't believe I have located the Tomb of Heroes and I haven't spoken to Nivius.

Actually you don't have to swim down to find the key

Did you pull the lever in the room where scabban was before he jumped down in the water?..

I killed Scabban immediately i stopped talking with him. What would've happened if I had healed him?
