I haven't seen this before. My Bishop Mook has a negative 80 or so negative in Divinity protection. It now has a value of 4!!! He is level 24, in Ascension Peak, no strange armor or acoutrements on him that would be a curse. His Divinity level is 100 (or was, last check). Is this a bug?

I hope someone replies your post, because I would also like to know what's up (and I don't have a clue). Could you give us a bit more information? When did you first notice this? Do you have a save game from just before you first noticed? can you tell what changed in this PC's life between the save before and save after the change?

Yes, I have a save game I can check. I will do it after I write this (I usually have three saved games, the first two are close in time, the third older, maybe 4-8 hours of game play). I don't recall anything except the Bish leveling up around that time. Her weapons, armor and protective medallions have not changed. I tried remove curse, no effect. Will let you know what I find. I will also try search feature here.

maybe because one of his equipment lower down the divine protection? try check.

It's been awhile, but I think I recall something about a bug where, if you have too much protection, the thing rolls over and you could end up in the negatives. Try unequipping booster items and see if that helps.

Thanks, I did a search on "roll over" and it definately is a bug. I will see which item boosts Divinity and replace it with something else. I hope I can find something good for her to where at this late stage of the game. My Mook is the only one killed in this game, 5 times. When a battle seemes to take an hour, and only one is killed, I sometimes will go on with it. Maybe I should have concentrated on buffing her up a little bit, instead I pushed for max magic.

You also have to be careful about spells. There's one that increases divine protection, and that can cause rollover, too.

No, the patch doesn't fix it. But the bug is stated in the readme of the patch IIRC.
If you have use amulet if healing (AC 3, 50% divine resistance) and another item with divine resistance, you shouldn't cast soul shield. Or better, limit yourself to 50% resistance from items. The overflow bug might even happen with speed. With 100 base speed, snakeskin boots (+10), level 7 haste and level 7 superman cast (with 100% powercast), a character suddenly has speed around 10. |

I've never encountered the rollover bug. I'm playing the patched game v1.2.4 on an xp platform. It's my super post-endgame game. Consider it a testing ground for what happens when stats are maxed (although it seems that the only answer so far is "the game is not fun anymore"). All the pc's are nearing 40th lvl, and have 100-125 in most pertanent ability and skill slots. My spell casters have 125+ devine resistance, and never "roll over" to negative values, even with soul shield cast.
