Ok, I ave seen a couple of people write different ways ondoing the fire in this area, and I can't get either one to work...I don't see any levers ANYWHERE in the alcoves..I can't run and jump through it, I can't jam the gate...Someone PLEASE help before my characters burn again...

if you find out plz let me know i woudl love to knwo what the hell, i have done bolth and i knwo for a fact taht the levers are in the wizards quest

Okay this is how I got through it....and I've done ittwice (restarted when i figured out some better class advances). That first fire is the key, hug the right wall as you go through it, there must be some switch or something save right before you try. now if you did it right you'll past that first fire and the gate will still be up. now take a left and go down the left side and when you get to the door it should still be open. Which leads me to believe maybe your SUPPOSED to jump the fire pits. But if you hug and run past that first one (you'll still get hit by it) then that door should be open. Good Luck!!
