Does the type of movie player have any bearing on the quality of a movie file? For instance, will a better player (or plugin?) clear up a blurry AVI file or is the only factor the actual movie quality (mpeg, avi, divx).
If this does have a bearing could anyone recommend a good media player? Side query: Anyone know if Power DVD can play files other than DVD's?

The player should have little to do with it, although DivX has options to reduce quality for better performance, something as simple as media player 2 with the supported codecs should do the job just fine.
