hmmm Well I didn't experience this problem.
There are pockets of air located all over Collasium so perhaps before you start talking to the mermaid you should be looking for some air. Is there any way to shorten your trip from the surface to inside the city? I know the first time I went looking for an entrance it took me a little while so once I did find it, I went back up for air before actually entering. Hope that will help! Wyv |

I did most of Collasium with just one guy who had a helmet and 'iron lung' but no breather. Just keep popping up for air until you get into the city then just be aware of where the air pockets are. Some of the big rooms are mostly air anyway. I needed a second guy later with some serious magical firepower to nuke the Mother of Crabs, otherwise the first guy could have done the whole city by himself.
