here's my math
start with 0
0 - 1000 = -1000
-1000 + 40 = -960
-960 + 1000 = 40

No I said take first of all 1000 and add 40. Which means "start with 1000 and add 40". Most people understood anyway

I accidentally read the answer to the first before I had time to think about it, fell for the second, and - for some reason - got 4110 on the third. [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img] I thought I could solve simple problems in my head better than that! Must be tired...

They r really good though. I have to try them out on some friends *grynz* have u done the one where you get someone to say "go""red" repeatedly very fast for about 5 mins then ask them "what do you do when traffic lights turn red?" heehee... it worked on my friends when I was 13 *L* but maybe not anymore. I have a puzzle for u.

You're allowed 4 matches. How do you make this shape:

with them? the gaps aren't meant to be there it's meant to be continuously joined like a square on the outside and a cross on the inside *S* and no breaking the matches or anything like that.
