I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd bump it up because I did work out why you can't command your henchman to go stealthy - it's not in their conversation file (which is pretty stupid). I've scripted my henchman in my module to be able to go stealthy and search on command.

Personally I love the way Tomi charges through all the traps and enemies and runs around like a chhicken on LSD sometimes.
I usually lets him and while I´m invisible, stealthed or whatever. It can be amusing to see him collect as many AoO´s as possible in so little time as possible. Very good AI.
"Halfling death" should be changed into "Halfling dying!!!"

It kinda makes you wish that you could be able to at least get online and play online. I hate my modem and ISP..

...and people wonder why I don't like henchmen ...I still use Tomi from time to time but hell I get on better on my own lol ...don't have to make quite so many trips back to the temple of tyr to get that brainless halfling back, the number of times he has blow my cover I really wouldn't like to guess at.

The way to get tomi to go stealth is to your self go stealth.

This is an observasion base on detect mode. I select detect mode on tomi
he will not go in to detect mode, if I select it on my self he does indeed
go into detect mode as I can verify in his menu- it then shows cancel detect mode.

hope this ends up helping.
