I've become a big fan of Knights Of The Dinner Table this past year...anyone else read it?
Also like JSA, Rising Stars, Astro City, Starman (almost over with #80), among others. Mark |

Did not read Knights of the Dinner Table.
Read a great european book being published in North America called the MetaBarons, by Jodorwski and Juan Giminez. Based on the character from the Incal. It is awesome. Dark Horse is publishing a great Japanese comic called Lone Wolf and Cub. This book is visual storytelling at its best IMHO. Used to read lots of Marvel books but the prices on all comics are just way too much these days. I'm really jaded on the whole price of comics. Way to expensive. Is this because of the cost of paper or just inflation? Whatever the case it is way out of hand and will prove the downfall of the whole industry IMHO. I think that graphic novels are the way of the future. |

I quit collecting back in the early 90's, but I had the Japanese versions of these. It is one of the best things ever put together.... I'd love to get the English translations... I'm gonna search for it now... THANK YOU SO MUCH, Djinn Raffo!!!!! I will finally be able to read these without a translator ... LOL Is the translation any good? The art is obviously the same, I hope the story crossed over well... I'm placing an order now... ------------------ The RudeDawg Known in these Forgotten Realms as Perin LightEyes and my girlfriends, Pamila and Pfil [This message has been edited by RudeDawg (edited 05-27-2001).] |

In the '80s First comics printed Lone Wolf and Cub in a larger size than Dark Horse is now, in english. I have at least the first dozen and a half issues of that run somewhere in my closet. Mark |

The DarkHorse publications are being printed in a small paperback like format with roughly five or six of what would have been one of the old First Publications issues into just one of the DarkHorse ones. This is awesome, each issue is about 300 pages long(SO AWESOME!). I've noticed some differences in the translations from the First ones to the DarkHorse ones but nothing major. The old First ones were printed out of original order, the DarkHorse ones correct this problem and are reprinting them in the same order that they first appeared. Anyone who is reading this I absolutly recommend these comics to anyone. Very violent but the storys are awesome. |

There are currently 8 out with the ninth coming soon.
I think that there will be 28 volumes in all (each being around 300 pages.) to make what is one big massive tale of Itto Ogami's revenge! The road to Meifumado has never been better! |

Haven't picked mine up from The Underworld (comic/gaming store) yet. I gave up on the superhero genre in the late 80s. Strangers in Paradise, A Distant Soil, Naughty Bits... and I'm waiting for the Elfquest Summer Special.
Yeah, I know -- all girl stuff! Dark Piper |
