Meanwhile, Reeves was getting agitated, “What the hell is going on down there!? It’s been five minutes and there has been no word from them. Not even dammed laser blast sound”.
Reeves grabbed the com-link….. “OY!----WHATS GOING ON DOWN THERE!?----“
The noise from the com-link caught the advancing Orks’ attention. Kaltia spoke with bitterness “You human fool!” She grabbed the com-link and lobbed it over the Ork heads. The clang of the com-link with the ground behind them, made the Orks turn around.
“Now” Kaltia said, grasping her lasgun. Kaltia and Calaethis popped up from behind the empty crates and opened fire…

Calaethis’s large gun recoiled a little as his gun sight aided his shot squarely into the front-right Ork’s head, the shot penetrates an eye and then to the brain, death is instantaneous.
Kaltia had little problem with her target, her shot passing through the neck of the second-front Ork and severing the spinal column. The Ork then collapses in a heap and dies.
Once the Orks realized they were under attack, the back two Orks dived behind some crates. The boss however clutched a power axe in one hand and with the other, opened fire with his bolter. A volley of bullets narrowly missed Calaethis’s half-exposed body.
”WWAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!” the mighty bellow of the Ork, revealing large tusks… The boss then runs right for Calaethis. The two Eldar had little time to react before the Ork swung his mighty Power axe….
In desperation, Calaethis uses his Rifle as a shield. He managed to block the Ork’s attacks twice before the force of the axe sent his rifle flying through the air and sending Calaethis to fall on his back. The Huge Ork smiled as he swung for the fatal blow….
Calaethis shut his eyes….

CLANG!… the sound echoed in Calaethis’s head 3 times before he had the courage to open his eyes again.

He saw the large power axe inches from his head, and Kaltia’s power sword blocking it.
Kaltia was finding it hard to compete with the Ork’s strength.
Suddenly, two beams of light flew through the air over the top of Calaethis’s head, striking the Ork in the chest. The force of the shots made the Ork drop his axe and Kaltia swiped her sword across his stomach. The Ork’s armour disintegrating under the swords power and the mighty Ork spilled his guts on Calaethis’s lower body before he fell to the ground.

Calaethis looked behind him to see Shino and Reeves running toward them. Shino took some cover and kept an eye out for more Orks, while Reeves crouched down by Calaethis.
“Are you ok man?” he spoke…

***OOC. firstly, Cal would NOT shut his eyes and wait for death. he would curse the orc, and look him in the eye until the end. Second, he would NOT remain still, there IS such a thing as rolling out the way. Thirdly, WHERES my BAYONET?! [img]tongue.gif[/img] hehe. Fourthly, what kinda a moron inturpts two elven hunters? er eldar. btw, DID I pick up a sword? whats the link to that char stats site? ok, rant over

Calaethis rolled forward, and sat up, he hissed furiously, "there are two more, slay them! I am allright, thank you for your assistance, still, we shall talk of your desertion and your distractions later" Calaethis's tone was ominous. He turned to Kaltia and whispered "My thanks, I am in your dept."

Then he retrived his gun, keeping his head down while the others went for the two remaining orcs. He picked up the power axe off the orc and offered it to one of the humans. Then he said "The pilot? Where is he? The cockpit! Is it unguarded? Here take this;" He shoved the axe into a human hands "I cannot wield it, you however could. It is not so much I cannot, I choose not too. Too crude, not to my tastes." He pointed at the cockpit. "Go!" He said. "We'll take it from here"

Calaethis looked at the orc again, most orcs of that type carried a bolter gun... he wondered if one of the humans could use it, if there was one...

***OCC, is that ok death? I'll modify it if you wish. lol.***

okay then *takes a big breath* Eldar always shut their eyes before they fall in battle as its a sign of respect to the Eldar god of war. Secondly, you were completely taken by surprise. Having a massive Ork boss charge at you causes fear, even to Eldar. Rolling over to aviod the axe obviously didn't come into your mind at the time. You reacted upon instinct. Thirdly you have no bayonett.
You never used a sword, Kaltia has the sword.
And Ork's hold little fear toward Eldar, so yes they would attack two rangers/assassins. Orks believe that THEY are fear incarnate.
Finally I DO stay true to the char sheet site. Otherwise what would be the point of making them? The link can be found on the first post.

Anyway... back to the game....

Shino and Kaltia krept foward slowly. Reeves put the axe down for the moment and went to check on the pilot and Calaethis covered them.
Suddenly the three Eldar all heard a ching.....ching....ching..ching, as a cylindrical object bounced off the wall and bounced toward them, coming to a stop at Shino's feet.

"GRANADE! RUN!" Calaethis yelled. "See if you can pick it up and throw it back at them Shino! It may detonate on impact though... the rest of you TAKE COVER!"

Shino leapt at the sound of the call and rolled to one side, he then crouched and aimed off into the distance hopping, just hopping to spot an ork...

Shino dived out the way of the grenade....

BOOM!!......

No one could see anything, only white.... the loudness of the explosion defening everyone in the ship.

Everyone stayed down. They thought it best to be able to see what they are shooting at before opening fire.

After about 2 minutes the whiteness cleared up and the only thing remaining was a loud ringing noise in their ears.

Calaethis, Shino and Kaltia looked at each other. They all seemed fine. Realizing that Shino was in the open, he quickly jumped behind the stack of crates where Calaethis and Kaltia are.
Kaltia spoke "A FLASH GRENADE!" the others found it hard to hear her... "PRETTY MUCH HARMLESS, IT IS USED TO KNOCK OUT YOUR OPONENTS' SENSES"...

Suddenly they all remembered the Ork problem. They had to act quickly if they didnt want to curcum to another grenade.

Calaethis looked disgusted... then he said in a deadly soft whisper... "They could have bypassed us... the pilot! Run! Someone get to him! Your with me, Kat" he said, "We should check the ship for any other orcs, Shino, I'm afraid you and any other people with you must guard the pilot, please don't argue.. lets go, move!" he said, taking command.

Shino ran to the cockpit where Reeves, the Eldar storekeep and more importantly, Flavian were.
Once he opened the pressure door, he saw two bodies lying a pool of blood...
He stood around for a while wondered what to do.

Meanwhile, Calaethis and Kaltia were in 'search and destroy' mode. They split up and covered every angle in the hope of captureing the Orks in a cross-fire. In their vien they found no Orks. However, they did find a piculiar sqaure-ish box and 3 gellitin-like balls no bigger than a hand. Upon trying to pick up the balls, they got shocked. A closer inspection showed the balls in a triangullar shape forming an invisible forcefield around the box. The box itself had odd symbols that appeard to change rather quickly.
