Some interesting, funny and creative names and explanations here. Mine is very simple. When my brother came over with a computer for me some 6 years ago, he also signed me up for AOL. My brother busily got the modem working and got the name screen he turned to me quickly and said, "What do you want your name to be?" Since my granddaughter calls me Mammaw (an old country, hillbilly name for Grandma) and my real name is Linda, I chose it just as quickly as my brother was typing, thus Mammawlin was "born".

Robert E. Howard was the MAN! I am just borrowing his stars name for awhile. My username has nothing to do with Arnold's movie. I dont think he portrayed Conan the way he should have. I therefore adoted it so Robert's writings will never be forgotten. His Conan storys are like poetry to me.

By Crom Conan! Rare to find a cimmerian this far from home.

I too am a fellow Howard lover. The Conan books were among the first 'adult' books i ever read. I was probably around 5ish...they also got me into marvels Conan comics which lead into all comics which in turn helped lead
me into writing and artwork. So Conan and Robert Howard have been one of
the prime inspirations in my life.

You should write a book review in the books board!
Thank you for helping to keep his vision alive!

Its the name of my Paladin in Icewind Dale. I normally try to name my Paladins after a famous historical king or warrior. Alaric lived between 370 and 410 A.D. He was a Visgoth King who conquered Rome.

I got my name from Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness Quartet (check my review in the book saloon). The main character's real name is Alanna, but she is called the Lioness becuz she is a female knight. Also I love lions, so added-ess
so people would know I was female.
