Turgon looked down at Lurin as he kneeled before the Dragon. He felt sympathy for him, as well as for the Dragon. Who knows, maybe it'll come a good thing out of keeping a Dragon, Turgon thought, even though his wisdom spoke against it.

Leaving Lurin to his search, Turgon went over to Skye.
"I assume that was an interesting chat, my Half-Elven friend. Did you learn anything of interest?"

The Party
Everybody gathered around the little wyrmling to examine or try to comfort it. The little guy only seems interested in talking to Skye though. He flaps his wings again to gently nudge Lurin and Turgon away, clamoring up to his feet and craning his neck around in speedy succession, talking in his language to the bard. He hops a little bit (which is rather cute), making out an urgent message to her, gesturing his smooth head toward the three doors at the Western end of his little chamber. His eyes flare golden and he tugs at his chain, looking then at all the men of the party and crying out, tossing his head again toward the three doors. Skye, check your PMs to find out what the little guy was saying this time.

lurin stands up away from the rest, and examines the doors. he isn't sure what to do untill skye has explained what the dragon was saying. taking out his blade which skye had given him he began to swing it, to get a feel for it. not bad he thought. he had to do something, his frustration caused him to be restless. for a long while the rogue had not spoken, which to him was strange. he had not passed any comments or put any of the others down.

lurin by now was missing the outside. he missed the trees, and the journeys he used to make. how he used to sit for hours in silence surrounded by nature. he rememered his kin, the many friends he had left behind when he left. this place sickened him. the air was bad, there was a foul stench, and it was smokey too. he had never dealed with a dragon before, and he was amazed by it. more than ever now he wanted to find out who this master was. walking to the corner, with his crossbow on his back an his blade fastened to his hilt he slumped in the corner waiting for the reply of skye.

ooc- Gyaa, I know what you mean DA -.-; Nothing yesterday, but I go out to see Harry Potter and when I get back its "I'll sit in the corner til SKYE translates" meh. sorry bout that guys ^^;
so, am i goin with the orchid or skyblue font?

ic- Skye rubbed the golden baby dragon's head to calm it, then translated to her anxious companions. "Past those doors, the goblin with the whip has the keys to the chains. I'm not sure how many enemies there will be. Should I remain back here with the baby to keep calm and makes sure no harm befalls it, or should I come with you in your search for the keys? Or perhaps someone would want to make an attempt at lockpicking..?" As Skye was saying these words, she was making her own attempt to pick the locks on the chains, saying something to the dragon in its language.

ooc: DA, of course Pathris hasn't made a comment yet; I haven't been here in over 14 hours! Don't worry, I'll make it up to you.

Pathris watched as Skye began to listen to the little wyrmling. Turgon and Lurin crowded around too and tried to comfort him. Pathris laughed as the woodsman as he attempted to pick up the dragon. "Lurin, are you crazy or just an idiot? That thing is longer than you are tall and it probably weighs 5 to 6 times what you do. You're not going to pick it up. But if you want to continue to try, I'll continue to laugh."

Pathris stayed away from the little dragon, however. If that thing decided that it didn't like them, he preferred to be as far from the dragon as possible. It wasn't that he didn't like dragons; he just didn't want to be there if they decided that he (or his group) should be a meal.

Apparently, Skye was having a nice little conversation with the beast and had gotten some information out of it. "A goblin has the key to the chains, eh? Of course it sounds easy, but what are the odds of that?" He looked at Lurin again and watched him swinging the dagger. "Well, at least he looks capable of taking hits while the rest of us are busy doing the actual killing."

"I'll have a hand at that lock if you can't get it, Skye," he said in Common. "As long as you can keep that thing from turning on us, I suppose it'll be okay. It'd probably be of more help than..." He stopped before saying Lurin's name. "More help than if it were just staying here." He added a sheepish grin.

ooc: Looks like you can use skyblue, Skye, as DA is now using white, it looks like.

Unfortunately, the master of the place seems to have taken good precautions with this little dragon, and the lock is too complicated for you to pick. The chain seems to strong to break too. You'll just have to get the key off that goblin.

The Party
Before you could go off to examine the doors the dragon was hinting at, one of them burst open! Out stepped one merry looking goblin, who saw all of you around the dragon and cried out, summoning nine of his little friends from the room! Seems they've got high security on this little guy! The goblins cried a battle cry and began to attack. Seven of them drew weapons (one has a whip) and began charging for meelee, while the remaining three drew out bows.

ooc: Heh, of course I'm right. Never as easy as just one goblin.

Pathris watched as the doors to the west opened and a goblin came in. Pathris, still away from the group, quickly looked for a place to hide, hoping that the goblin only saw the three around the dragon. "Uh oh, looks like trouble. And I'm absolutely sure he won't be alone for very long." Sure enough, the goblin called out, and nine more filled the room. Pathris rolled his eyes at his misfortune.

Moving quietly (hopefully unnoticed by everyone else), he attempted to sneak up on the merry goblin. If he could fell the leader, perhaps the rest of the goblins would lose morale and the will to fight. "One good backstab might be all I need..." he thought as he readied his short sword for the blow.

ooc: I'm here, I might as well post. Let's see how my idea works out.

edit: Just some minor word edits.

Pathris
Luckily for you the one with the whip, the leader, was on the end of the line closest to you, so you didn't just get shot and killed. You did manage by some streak of luck to sneak up behind the creature as it stopped behind the advancing line of goblins and barked out orders.
To-Hit: 17 + 1 = *SUCCESS*
Damage: 6 + 1 + 5 = 12

The Party
Pathris's short sword went through the goblin's back and straight out his chest, going through the creature's heart on its way. Blood spewed everywhere, causing the other goblins to pause and look in that direction and stand stunned for a moment. After a second of silence, one of the bigger goblins, with a rather thick club in his hands, cried out, "We eats him later! Fight on!"

ooc: You (guys and gals) may not like him, but Pathris certainly is effective!

Pathris was elated at his stroke of luck. The leader of the goblin band was closest to him, and when he stepped back from the line of goblins, it was fairly easy for the rogue to sneak behind the leader.

"Ah, look at this view," he thought as he looked at the leaders back. "It could use some redecorating, though." With a quick move of the arm, the short sword tore through the goblin's chest and out the other side. The other goblins paused, hopefully giving the others an opportunity to attack. "Go for the bigger ones!" he shouted in Elven. "If their leaders are gone, they'll stop fighting!"

The rogue went evasive now, knowing the archers would be gunning for him, most likely.

ooc: I'll wait for others to post before I make my next move. Help out, guys!

(ooc) don't rangers have some stealth abilities?

lurin quickly slid to the side hoping to pick a few of before they noticed him, so pulling out his crossbow, he aimed for the biggest one.they've obviously not seen me he thought silently. he had been slumped in a corner, and out of sight of the goblins when they had burst through the door. aiming straight for the head of the leader he wispered in elvish to his bow. [b]"fly with all your speed to the blood of your victim" he said quietly. suddenly he fired, out of the darkness the bolt flew, heading towards the leader of the goblins.

not staying long enough to see the impact of his shot he suddenly rolled sideways, now that he'd fired it wouldn't take long for the goblins to realise where from, so pulling out his blade attempted to atack from the side and out flank them.
