The people started calling me Djinn when I was in the east because I granted three wishes to Sultan and they thought I was a genie.
Raffo is the name i've always had.
Thus Djinn Raffo!

Cloudbringer was a name I dreamed up as I needed to register in order to post. Was thinking Storms and such and trying to find something not so ominous sounding as Stormbringer...and maybe a touch exotic or usable for an elven character, and voila! Cloudbringer was born.

As for the other few hundred names I've collected...LOL...well they would take too long to explain here. All but Storm Queen, anyway. That one was bestowed on me by Memnoch after I'd been on the board just a little while. Something about me attracting chaos and wild weather...HAHAHA

My name was taken from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I was reading it at the time I signed up for the forum. In the book, it means death, and at the time I felt like it

Needed a name when I first signed on the internet years ago,
with lack of imagination I decided to use something around the room,
and of course saw the liquor bottles and went with Bourbon.
No big whoop.

Pug/Milamber from Raymond Feist's books. The most powerful mage to have ever lived.

To much Freaking Time
And the Name Chao Kang
Believe it or not
I twisted Carlos Ricardo out that name
Now I needed a Necromancer
and some how Rikard sounds much more sinister then Chao Kang
But that could be just me
And what it means?
Not a Freakin Thing

Pangur Ban is taken from an 11th century poem of the same name, written by an Irish monk at St. Gallen.

The monk compares his life and dedication to his task in illuminating holy manuscripts, to his cat Pangur Ban who spends all his time hunting mice, with equal passion.

( the last verse of the poem, my favorite .. )

"Practice every day has made
Pangur perfect at his trade;
I get wisdom day and night
Turning darkness into light"
