MILAMBER(the quotes were getting too long [img]tongue.gif[/img] ), believe me i know all about military.Im going to be a forth generation pilot in my family. Both my dad and my brother fly. They know what goes on. Only a week ago my dad commented that, like my earlier example, a women with basic training got picked over a man with extensive military training. And i didnt mean just military F-16s, im talking stuff like DC-10s and MD-11s. Therefore my odds of getting picked for a job would be better then my brother's, even though hes a sargeant in the ANG. Not that it matters though, since my ultimate goal is to fly a stealth fighter, and there arent many of those kinds of pilots, i'll b flying in the ANG almost full time, then im transfering to FEDEX with my dad, since the pay is a lot better. Maybe my chances wont b as good in the military, but in commercial flying, im pretty much garenteed a job. Thats just the way it is. Maybe we should make a seperate thread if we want to debate

I don't want to debate [img]smile.gif[/img] . And I was only talking about military flying because that was what you mentioned. I know nothing about how difficult it would be for a female pilot in the civillian world. I'm sure you'll do very well at it though.

Thats ok MILAMBER, i like debates, as long as theyre courteous, i think theyre very healthy . But as far as civilion and commercial flying go for women, its not difficult at all. Ah yes, life will be good

Money is the root of all evil.

Money²=evil

Therefore, women= evil.

Make of it what you will... quite stupid I think, and ofcourse nothing conclusive... and ofcourse theres probably something similar for men around if one looks hard enough (god forbid )

I applied to train as an airline pilot when I was 16 Milamber, I've always wanted to fly and had considered entering the military but decided it wasn't really for me. I was turned down on grounds of height - I am average female height, not short. Hopefully things have changed now.
