I got the 25 WIS as follows (very similar to your method):

18 starting WIS for BG1
+3 from tomes (21)
+1 from giving in to the taint when battling Wraith Sarevok (22 - hence the evil intervention)
+1 from the Bhaal Tear from this test (23)
You've lost me, here. If you're taking the "evil path", you'll get +1 to your main stat - Wisdom, in that case (as you're a Cleric/Mage and not a Mage/Cleric). If you're taking the "good path", you'll get +1 Wisdom & Charisma. You exactly are you getting both of them?

Way to go man. I bet the stress took a few years off your life, but there just the ones at the end anyways so it doesn't matter that much.

Damn, of course you do! Thanks for the correction. I was thinking the character could take the evil path, getting +1 WIS upon giving into the taint, and then get the +1 WIS and CHA from the tear of Bhaal, but of course, this would now give +2 STR. Doh! I think I'll revert to my previous statement of 24 WIS. Still not too shabby though!

Not too shabby at all.

Remind me - what's found earlier in the game, the Silver Ioun Stone or the (consturcted) Circlet of Nethril? I never give the stones a second look, so I forgot...

You probably mean Bronze Ioun Stone. It is this wich is needed to construt the Circlet of Nethril. It is found in the vampire nest in Saradush

Nope, Silver - as it's the Silver Ioun Stone that grants +1 WIS.

(As an aside, let me say that I'm pleased to see such interest in no-reloads games.)

Anyway, you know the thread is a little non-standard when people are asserting that Kundane is more powerful than Sanchuu and that Bloodbane (which you can only get if you have more than 3M XP, so it should be compared to things like Summon Planetar and Time Stop + Alacrity) is a small god.

Anyway, presumably this "stunlock" you're talking about involves having a lot of poison damage so that the enemy can never take an action without their sprite jumping to the "I got hit" animation. Is this common?

Would you all find Bloodbane more palatable if it just did 3 points of poison damage instantaneously, rather than 6 over 6 seconds?

You're kidding? It's your (you, and to a lesser extent, Gebhard Blucher) threads and posts on Usenet that persuade me into it! I actually lurk at Usenet quite a lot - as the community there shows at least as much interest in mods & tactics as Ironworks. The group's tendency for overheated arguments cause me to just lurk there instead of post, though.

Oh, far from it! Kundane is not half the weapon Sanchuudoku is, let alone Bloodbane. However... unless one is constantly using Greater Whirlwinds, Kundane and Belm are better off-handers, simply because the main hand weapons' (Fury, Sanchuudoku, whatever) power increases with respect to the ApR rate. Kundane's [ / Belm's] advantage over Sanchuudoku as an off hand weapon is even bigger if one's using Improved Haste a lot - and I am. Two more attacks per round (assuming Imp Hasted) with Fury, Ages or Foebane can mak turn quite the tide! Would you prefer Sanchuudoku as an off hand weapon?

Bloodbane is a whole different story, though.

Yep. Happened to me a couple of times, too. Actually, it's quite a foolproof modus to take on Dragons - a party with a few archer-types, armed with poison missiles can easily stunlock most dragons.

You mean 3 poison damage instantaneously, a la Blackblood (yeah, acid, but you get the picture)? Yes, that would be excellent, methinks. Still a powerful weapon (being a stunning +5 weapon that gets the STR bonus)... but not nearly as cheesy. I say, go for it.
