Hell yeah... in the game the lich is called Vongoethe, not Von Goethe, yesee... and you just think 'hmm... Kangaxx, Nevaziah, Odamaron, Vongoethe... yep, all Liches have weird names.' D'oh, d'oh, and thrice d'oh.

You know what I really get a kick out of?

It's the fact that from now on, every single time each of you goes through Amkethran and does this quest, you'll think of me, and what a tricky little bastard I am. And that just makes me feel real good.

aw damn. this is about as far as I've gotten in TOB...well... a bit further but anyway. I totally forgot all about that stupid quest though... and come to think of it, I can't see how I missed the faust reference now. Doh

(Been a while since I looked at ToB though. I virtually bought ToB, then started modding my game and have barely looked at ToB since)

23. List all of the NPCs (if any) who can naturally use the Crom Faeyr, but require magical aid to use the Hammer of Thunderbolts.
A: Valygar, Viconia, Aerie, Haer'Dalis, Mazzy, Keldorn, and Yoshimo. It's odd that the HoT requires a Strength of 18 to lift it, while the Crom has only the requirement of a normal Warhammer--9 Str. Even Jan can use the Crom without a Str booster (once he gets Use Any Item, that is), but there's a total of 7 NPCs who can't use the Hammer of Thunderbolts without help. It's true that you need to Dual-class Yoshimo in order to give him the Crom Faeyr, but that still doesn't count as "requiring magical aid."
No, but it requires Yoshimo overcomming his geas, which I would consider "magical aid". Yoshimo should die in chapter 4, You can't have all the parts for Crom Faeyr until chapter 6. So assuming you don't do something 'funny', the two can never be in the same game at the same time.

Regardless of whether he could have it or not, he couldn't use the Hammer of Thunderbolts, but could use Crom Faeyr.

What are you talking about? If by some unnatural occurance Yoshi had Crom Faeyr, and was dualed to a fighter, why wouldn't he be able to use it?

There is no reason why he couldn't use Crom Faeyr.

However, he doesn't have the required strength to wield the Hammer of Thunderbolts.

The point I was trying to make is that yoshi can't fall into the catagory of able to "naturally" use Crom Faeyr because theres no "natural" way for Yoshi and Crom Faeyr to exist in the same party at the same time.
