No feedback because I have nothing to say. Unless you want me to give a half-a**ed answer/feedback. I have bookmarked it though, for others to see when they wish to learn about spells.

I can't believe no one's been touting the berserker->cleric. With chaotic commands + rage you're immune to almost anything in the game AND you can dual-wield the best combo in the game AND you can heal yourself AND detect traps with the spell AND...well you get the idea.

I have never seen anything go through the game as fast as one of those. My friend beat everything in three days! Powerhouse!

yes.. thats quite true... i have not seen anyone talking about it...
I, myself have complete SoA and ToB with a solo berserker/cleric in insane difficulty... with chaotic commands, death ward, rage, globe of blades/blade barrier and dual wielding flail of ages +5 and crom faeyr... its almost unstoppable unless its an imprisonment spell or failing a saving throw from flesh to stone... other than that i had no problems....

Refer to an earlier post of mine in this thread. I gave it 'quite' a high rating in my list.

Firstly, I should point out that the classes I named earlier are ones I've played. Your triple combo seems hugely powerful, and may well top my power list (esp with an XP cap remover). I'm generally a purist, but an XP cap remover is the exception. Personal choice.

I haven't considered the triple class before (because of the slow level progression you point out)...at your suggestion, I just began a game with Fighter/Mage/Thief. Having only completed the circus quest, I'm at 8/9/9. To be fair, I rolled some pretty awesome stats; I always give myself five minutes to roll stats, with the base being 84 (14s in everything, and then I fiddle). Usually I settle for 87, but I got lucky and rolled 93. After fiddling, that became
17 STR
18 DEX
18 CON
18 INT
18 WIS
4 CHR

Charisma is a joke, as the Circus quest gives you the Ring of 18 CHR. Plus, mages have 'friends.'

Things to remember when playing a thief or mage class: remove traps, unlock everything, and memorize scrolls. Erase spells and then rewrite them. Big fat XPs there.

I think your triple class rocks; a Fighter/Mage/Cleric would be pretty good too (self-healing, turning undead, magic defense) but then you couldn't use a bow. Personally I love bows; the Tesheran 3/round attacks is the best bow in the game IMO.

You should be able to stomp big butt in short order. Versatility rules this game, very good assessment.

I'm still learning(a lot, thanks to this forum), but what do you mean by erasing spells and rewriting them.

Throne of Bhaal (the expansion) gives you the ability to remove spells from your spell book, in order to make room for more. if you have less that 19 intelligence, you can only learn a finite ammount of spells per level. once you get to that number of spells, you cant learn any more spells of that level. But if you remove some, you can then use those spots again. If you dont have ToB, you cannot use this feature. Choose your spells wisely for SoA (or just drink a potion of genius, to boost your INT above 19 while you scribe your spells)

 • Kensai->Mage
 • Berserker->Mage
 • Sorcerer
 • Kensai->Thief
 • Barbarian
 • Cleric/Ranger
 • Berserker->Cleric
 • General Mage
 • Conjurer
 • Necromancer
 • Cavalier
I agree with the most, but i have a (surprising?) addition.
The Totemic Druid.
*gasp*
Yes, a Druid.
Since summoning are sooooo useful when soloing, Totemic Druid rocks.
Spirit Animals will get you through most low-mid level fights.
Fire Elementals and Insect Plague will rock throughout the game.
After several ToB HLA, nothing will stand against you - Elemental Princes and Elementals will give you enough time to cast Nature's Beauty.

Puf! End of battle...

If casting Nature's Beauty bores you, just throw Energy Blades, and cast an Implosion or two every once in while....

Totemic Druids can even solo the game on Impossible, thanks to the almighty Ironskins.

That means that you agree with every spell review and you have nothing to add?
Every little feedback helps, really...

They aren't really attacking you, they just LOOK like they are...Just ignore the shades and Lycantropes and kill Kallah, it only takes two or three hits. If you're soloing then your character should already be too powerful to even get hit in the circus, even if it is the first thing you do out of Irenicus' dungeon.

Also, remember you should have about 20 potions of extra healing saved up from the dungeon, and probably as many regular ones too. I never buy potions, and yet I ALWAYS have them. The secret to always having potions? Very simple, don't use potions outside of combat. If you have to sleep for 16-24 hours at a time to recover then do it! Save your potions for KEY battles that you know you struggle with: Greater Wolfweres, Liches, Adamantite Golems, etc. Have them distributed evenly among characters that typically get hit often, that way you don't have to bother with tossing them between charaters. The same goes for Oil of Speed. Your fighters and healers should be packing boxes of this stuff so that they can move into position very fast in combat.
